Elsewhere in the arrest report it says that the principal and teacher came into the classroom and tried to restrain the child because he threw chairs and books, and it was during the restraint attempt that he pushed and kicked. Reading this report brought tears to my eyes. This could have been any autistic child. Prosecuting a child under these circumstances is an outrage.

Nowhere in the report does it say Zakh has autism or is a SPED student. I wonder if the teacher and principal even told the officer he was autistic. I can't believe they would press charges for minor injuries like this, they should not have any contact with any special needs students if they have so little understanding of their functional ability and behavior. This is outrageous.

Note that both of their home addresses and phone numbers are in the report. Bet they didn't want that to get out.

If their injuries were that painful, they probably could have called an ambulance instead of the police. Question: Where was the school nurse. Better yet, where were the other children? Did they all have to see this violent attack on an 11 y.o. boy? How many special ed. techs. were at the school and were any of them asked to intervene? So many blanks in this police report. It is my experience, if you didn't document,...it didn't happen. What else happened at that school that we don't know about?

I have the principal's home phone number and address. (I obtained it legally). I called the number last week, got the answering machine, started to leave a message, when her daughter picked up and told me that if I called again, charges would be pressed. Their family likes to press charges against innocent people, is what I got out of it.
